The Victoria Hospitals Foundation is a fundraising partner with the Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA), one of the largest health organizations in Canada. VIHA provides services to 752,000 people living across more than 56,000 square kilometres of varied geography, including Vancouver Island, the Gulf and Discovery Islands, and the mainland region between Powell River and Rivers Inlet.
We consult with VIHA every year to determine the highest priorities in medical equipment needs for Victoria General Hospital and Royal Jubilee Hospital — Vancouver Island’s largest acute care hospitals, serving people from through our health authority's region. We fund 40% of priority medical equipment purchases for these two hospitals every year.
