Spring 2011 Campaign

Our 2011 Spring Campaign

Maternity & Pediatric Care This spring, the Victoria Hospitals Foundation fundraised for Neurosurgery at Victoria General Hospital (VGH). Our goal was to raise $361,000 for a new neuronavigation system ― a sophisticated piece of equipment that helps neurosurgeons create a 3D map of a patient’s surgical site, and allows them to focus on the exact location they need to reach during an operation.

“Our neuronavigation system is key to helping us focus on the exact location we need to reach in a patient’s body. The new, up-to-date equipment will improve surgical accuracy and reduce the length of surgeries, which means faster recovery times and shorter hospital stays for our patients.”

— Dr. Stephen Hentschel, Head of Neurosurgery, Victoria General Hospital
