The Victoria Hospitals Foundation is committed to protecting your privacy. In accordance with the BC Personal Information Protection Act, we retain only information regarding your gift history. Tax Receipts

Official charitable tax receipts for all Visions purchases will be provided after the event. A portion of the ticket price is tax-deductible. According to Canada Revenue Agency regulations, for event tickets the receiptable amount is the ticket price less the cost of goods and services provided at the event.

Live and Silent Auction Bidding Rules

  • Auction and raffle items subject to change and may not be exactly as illustrated.
  • Please use your name and bid number when bidding on an item. Your bid number is provided on the first page of your Visions program.
  • Please respect the amount of minimum bids and bid increments to avoid disappointment.
  • Placing a bid at our auctions constitutes a contract with the Victoria Hospitals Foundation. Bids may not be withdrawn. Please ensure you want all of the items you are bidding on.
  • All funds raised support patient care equipment and programs at the Victoria General and Royal Jubilee Hospitals.
  • All auction items are donated.
  • All art items have been professionally appraised at fair market value by a recognized independent body.
  • All sales are final and items are sold "as is." There are no refunds, returns, upgrades, extensions, or exchanges.
  • The Victoria Hospitals Foundation reserves the right to reject any bid.
  • Live auction bidding will commence at 9:30 p.m. on November 14, 2009.
  • Each auction item will be awarded to the highest bid received in the live auction bidding process. At the close of the auction, the successful bidder's name will be circled on the bid sheet.
  • Bids placed at the auction must be paid for and collected on the evening of the event. Payment may be made by VISA, MasterCard, cheque, or cash.
  • All information collected in the course of this auction shall be maintained in accordance with the Victoria Hospitals Foundation privacy policy.
