Canadian painter Ken Danby (1940 – 2007) is renowned for his portraits of athletes and realistic panoramic landscapes, best known for his famous 1972 "At the Crease" painting of a hockey goaltender.
Many of Danby’s paintings are held in the collections of galleries worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Montreal Museum of Fine Art.
