Dr. Alex Mihailovic – ICU Intensivist
From a young age, Dr. Alex Mihailovic knew she would become a doctor. Today, she is a trailblazing physician in our ICUs and operating rooms, and a champion of global health and sustainable living. She shines a light on her life and her career—and how donors are supporting her through our latest campaign, It’s Time for Surgical Innovation.
Dr. Mona Mazgani – Gynecology Oncologist
Fifteen years ago, Dr. Mona Mazgani started the first gynecology oncology service on the Island, and only the second of its kind in BC. Her motivation was to offer advanced oncology procedures for women close to their home and loved ones. Today, Dr. Mazgani and her colleagues treat over 500 Island women every year, and recognize how critical a role donors play in advancing women’s health.
Amy Ratcliff – Miracle Gala Chair
Amy Ratcliff is leading a powerful movement of intentional philanthropy on the Westshore, in benefit of Victoria General Hospital, its acute centre. As Chair and presenting sponsor of the Miracle Gala, she has rallied an entire community to uplift local hospital care. She instills her philanthropic values in her real estate team, her daughter and step-children, and all who have the privilege to know her.
Charlotte Salomon, K.C. – Visions Gala Chair
Charlotte Salomon, K.C. exemplifies the purest form of servant leadership. As Chair of Visions, Charlotte has brought our signature gala to new heights, all in the name of elevated local hospital care. Charlotte learned the importance of helping others from her father who immigrated to Canada to rebuild a life for his family, and be a contributing member to Canadian society. Today, she shares those values with her own daughters—and all of us who are witness to her relentless drive to support our community.
