Visions is an event like no other. Elevated formal wear – Black Tie or White Tie – encouraged.
Visions Impact
In just four years, Visions supporters have invested more than $10 million in life-changing healthcare innovation, helping ensure patients across Vancouver Island can access world-class care without leaving the Island.
Together, donors, sponsors, and guests have funded a new Automated Chemistry Line at Royal Jubilee Hospital, increasing testing capacity from 1,000 tests per day to more than 1,200 tests per hour. We helped modernize three MRI machines across Royal Jubilee and Victoria General hospitals, bringing leading-edge imaging technology to our region, increasing access while reducing scan times. We then helped bring Vancouver Island’s first surgical robotics program to life, making Royal Jubilee only the second hospital in British Columbia to receive a surgical robot and enabling hundreds of patients to recover faster and return home sooner.
Most recently, Visions supporters helped expand robotic-assisted surgery with a second da Vinci surgical robot and Vancouver Island’s first neurosurgical robot, positioning Victoria as a leader in advanced surgical care. Since the launch of this philanthropy-funded surgical transformation, more than 800 robotic-assisted surgeries have been completed across seven specialties, Victoria has become the first site in B.C. to operate two da Vinci surgical systems simultaneously, and patients are accessing faster, safer, and more precise care close to home.
This year, your support will help advance the future of surgical and procedural care on Vancouver Island, bringing innovative technologies and leading-edge treatment closer to home. Every day, our physicians and care teams are embracing new approaches that improve precision, reduce recovery times, and expand access to life-saving interventions. As our community faces rising rates of cancer, stroke, heart disease, and other complex conditions, the demand for advanced, effective care has never been greater. Together, we can help ensure Islanders have access to the transformative innovations that will define the next generation of patient care.

The Fairmont Empress is pleased to, once again, offer a Visions rate to guests with rooms starting at $339.00. As they will be undergoing renovations at the time of Visions, resulting in reduced capacity, we encourage you to book your accommodations early. Complete your booking here.
Guest Arrival
Arriving by Taxi: Please ask to be dropped off at the front of the hotel on Government Street.
Arriving by Car: Robbins Parking and the Fairmont Empress are kindly sponsoring complimentary day-of valet parking. Please arrive at the front of the hotel off Government Street and let the valet know you are with Visions. Note, complimentary valet is only available until midnight. Late arrivals, overnight stays, and self-parking will be subject to the standard rates.
Staying at the Empress: Please enter the event through the Tea Lobby. The VHF team will greet you at the entrances to the Tea Lobby.
Pledge Drive Recognition
During the evening’s pledge drive—often one of the most inspiring moments of the evening—guests will have the opportunity to make a charitable gift in support of the future of surgical care. As a way of celebrating your generosity, donor names will be displayed on screens throughout the ballroom.
Should you prefer to be recognized by a company name, family name, or remain anonymous, please contact VHFEvents@islandhealth.ca prior to the event and we will be happy to make those arrangements.
