RECOGNIZING OUR DONORS

Every Donor Has A Story

Every Donor Has A Story

We know that every donation is a choice – a decision to support our hospitals and change the lives of our patients. This knowledge is the foundation of our deep gratitude to each and every one of you, guiding everything that we do.

We are immensely honoured that 50% of our current donors have been giving for 10 years or more, and are proud to uphold these committed relationships of generosity. You are transforming healthcare for our community. You are our changemakers. You are our champions. We are glad to be able to recognize the generosity of each and every one of our donors, and celebrate our impact together.

I see Foundation donors as partners in healthcare—our best champions… providing us with the tools we need to provide life-changing and life-saving care. ”

– Dr. Iain McAuley, Urologist

Recognizing Donors In Our Hospitals

Recognizing Donors In Our Hospitals

Public recognition on our donor walls is one of the ways we express our sincere gratitude to the people, organizations, and businesses in our community who champion our cause and inspire the community to share in their generosity. The Victoria Hospitals Foundation has three donor walls: one donor wall at Royal Jubilee Hospital and one at Victoria General Hospital, and a campaign-specific donor wall in the Royal Jubilee Patient Care Centre that recognizes donors to the Building Care Together campaign and Gift in Kind donors. These donor walls are updated every spring to reflect the generosity within the previous calendar year.

Naming Privileges

Naming Privileges

We aim to recognize your giving in a way that is meaningful to you. Showcasing your generosity to our patients, our community and our caregivers is inspiring for those on the front line of care and for leaders who will follow in your footsteps.

Your passion for transforming healthcare on our Island will inspire others to give. For gifts over $1,000,000 we are honoured to offer a unique opportunity for naming privileges in our world renown hospitals. Contact us about naming recognition that showcases your commitment to care or that honours a loved one.

Annual Report Recognition

Each year, we publish the names of all donors who have generously given $20,000 or more over the past fiscal year in our annual report. This special Timeline of Philanthropy highlights the difference these members of our community are making in the lives of our caregivers, and our patients. View past annual reports here.

Championing Cognitive Health

Philanthropy on our Island is transforming the way we treat cognitive decline. The Mannings initiated a new research program alongside Island Health and the University of Victoria to develop state-of-the-art digital tools for early diagnosis and monitoring of dementia for Vancouver Island patients: The Neil & Susan Manning Cognitive Health Initiative.
