We rely on numerous volunteers in our efforts to support our local hospitals. From helping at our events and supporting marathons, to serving on our Board of Directors and event committees, our volunteers are constantly stepping up to help weave our community together in health. This Volunteer Week, we thank each and every one of our volunteers who make our mission possible.
Amy Ratcliff, Chair
Miracle on the Mountain Steering Committee
Born and raised in Vancouver, Amy has always looked for ways to use her creativity. From attending Pacific Design Academy for interior design, taking wedding and event planning courses, staging homes, and spending evenings baking five-layer cakes for no reason, she finds happiness expressing herself in creative ways. She shares her passion for real estate with her husband, Lewis Ratcliff, where they run the real estate team, “The Ratcliff Group” at Engel & Völkers, which has allowed them to give back to our community. Her greatest accomplishment is her daughter, Camden, who she can be found chasing around at most times!
Charlotte Salomon, Chair
Visions Gala Steering Committee
Charlotte has been a long-time supporter of the Victoria Hospitals Foundation and is the new Chair of the Visions Gala. She currently practices law in the areas of wills, estate planning, estate administration, and real estate. She has worked at McConnan Bion O’Connor & Peterson since 1995. Charlotte and her husband Chris have two teenage daughters who were raised in Victoria, and she knows first-hand how lives can be made better by our devoted medical teams and hospitals.
Donnie Wing, Chair
Victoria Hospitals Foundation Board of Directors
Mr. Wing is a seasoned executive with extensive knowledge in insurance, investments, finance, strategy, policy, privacy and government relations. He was CEO of Healthcare Benefit Trust for five years and also served on their Board of Trustees. He also served as a member of the ICBC executive team for 12 years and as a Senior Policy Advisor and Acting Director for the Province of B.C.’s Crown Corporations Secretariat.
Donnie joined the Victoria Hospitals Foundation Board of Directors in 2018. He is also on the Board of Canadian Blood Services, the BC Financial Services Authority, and the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Society.
