Give Patients Movement & Relief
The Victoria Peripheral Nerve and Spasticity Clinic, led by award-winning physician and researcher, Dr. Paul Winston, has gained an international reputation for developing an inexpensive way to relieve pain while dramatically improving limb movement for spasticity patients. This novel treatment is known as cryoneurotomy, and it is the first of its kind. Thanks to the support of donors, Dr. Winston and his team at the clinic are able to continue revolutionizing spasticity treatment through cryoneurolisys, a procedure that freezes nerves to -88 C, relaxing contracted muscles and relieving symptoms.
Donors can support the growth of research capacity for this novel approach. This includes acquiring the evidence on the safety, efficacy and cost-savings related to cryoneurolysis for a wide range of patients living with spasticity, spinal cord injuries and complex regional pain syndrome.
